Alfa Romeo ArgentinaAuthors: Cristián Bertschi & Estanislao IaconaDate of publishing: August 2005
Ten years of research, tracing the glory of the marque in Argentina.
The book is focussed in the pre-war cars, that first appeared in Buenos Aires in 1923, with the opening of a salesroom by Eduardo Carú & Cía. S.R.L. in Buenos Aires.
Since then and to our days, Alfa Romeo has a huge history in motor racing.
All the 8C cars are featured: Monzas, Tipo Bs, 2900s, 8C35, Type C 308, Type 316 12C37, including a chapter on Fangio World Champion with Alfa Romeo, the 6C 3000M that belonged to dictator Juan Domingo Perón, closing with a complete chapter on the 60s, when the Giuliettas won almost everything they raced on, and the T33 cars of Autodelta battling in the 1000 km de Buenos Aires in the early 70s.
The book is presented in hard back, printed to high quality standards. English and Spanish text. All 8C cars are featured chassis per chassis.

Bugatti ArgentinaAuthors: Cristián Bertschi & Estanislao IaconaDate of publishing: February 2007
Bugatti Argentina reflects the Argentine passion for car racing prevailing during the pre-war years and particularly the affinity that some drivers felt for the French make during the twenties.
This is the first time in Argentina that a book has been written relating the history which commenced in 1924, when the first Type 30 arrived and continued until the sixties when Bugatti fans devoted themselves to salvaging and restoring the cars.
The trend resurged during the nineties with a new group of collectors. Bugatti created over the years a mystique which continues intact until the present day.

This book, issued in 1949 by the A.C.O. (organizing body of the 24 Heures du Mans), if often considered as THE prized possession for serious Le mans collectors.
It was a limited edition of 1000 pcs back in 1949 of which only a few survive to this day and of which most have found their way into collections where they will probably stay for ever.
We are very proud to be able to offer for sale this particular copy, number # 949 out of the 1.000 produced and which survives in decent condition (not mint).
Being a BIG book, some 25 x 32 cm or 10 x 13 inches and 471 pages (some 6 cm or 2.5 inches thick!) it is a very detailed account of the 24 Hours races as held in the pre WW2 era (1923 - 1939) including stats and reports on the drivers with countless illustrations and portraits by the fantastic artist, Geo Ham (Georges Hamel).
With the pre WW2 Scuderia Ferrari being highly succesfull at Le mans, amongst others with the great Tazio Nuvolari, we felt that this item deserves a place on this website.

Katzin France automobile car racing sports action thriller ("Steve McQueen takes you for a drive in the country. The country is France. The drive is at 200 MPH!"; set in the classic French countryside's historic 24-hour race) starring Steve McQueen, Siegfried Rauch, Elga Andersen, Ronald Leigh-Hunt, and features classic racing legends Derek Bell, Jacky Ickx, and Jo Siffert.

Turkish movie culture was significantly different from what we know in the West in the early 1970's and lobby cards (and sometimes posters) circulated amongst movie theaters along with the movies themselves. A couple of years ago, we bought the complete stock of "Le Mans" posters from the former Turkish distributor "Akun Film" in Istanbul.
